From 2003 to 2013 everyONE-Ethiopia supported communities living in urban destitution, mainly women, children and elderly. In these ten years, we worked with the communities but we also learned about life, about being human and about resilience.
We are grateful and proud to share with you our lessons learned, our achievements, our challenges faced and our aspiration for the next five years to come.
The road has not been easy, but has certainly been rewarding. The most rewarding of all is our Children's program, the Program of the Elderly, and the Community Transformation Training and Coaching Program.
We hope to bring to you stories from the children and the Elderly. Stories of how their lives have improved, how they have been inspired and have inspired others. We will bring to you also the stories from our side, of how these programs came to be and what it took to keep them going. We will be dedicating the next weeks to celebrating life and recognizing our efforts.
As the founder of the organization, I have to say that my biggest gift of all in my endeavor has been to come across the brilliant team that joined the organization. My own private life circumstance has not always allowed me to be as present as I wish. The achievement we have made as an organization is directly linked to the concerted effort of our team and the efforts of the community to get the work done. Without each and every member of this amazing team, we would not have been able to achieve a tenth of our results.
everyONE as an organization might not have the large budgets, the facilities and offices with great amenities, but it has something that few organizations say they have: We have the best team of all! A team that works independently, a team that is reliable, a team that cares for the work and puts in the extra efforts to serve the communities.
I feel blessed. I know in my heart that our commitment and work will not go un-noticed by those we stand to serve.
To complement our dedicated team, our Board of Directors, Partners and Donors have been standing with us in service of urban communities.
We have also them to thank for being with us on the day of our inauguration and for still being with us, so many years down the line.
With God's help, I hope that we can all be together many years from now to look back and share the lessons learned and acknowledge the work done and witness the changes that have taken root within the communities we worked for.
